Green Beans with Almonds

1lb of string beans, french cut (snip both ends off)
3 Tablespoons butter
1/2 Cup crisp almond slivers

Place beans in a vegetable steamer and steam for about 8-10 minutes until they have turned bright green and are just tender.
Melt butter in a frying pan, raise heat, add almonds and cook, stirring, until lightly browned. Be careful the almost do not burn. Toss with the beans and keep warm in the oven until ready to serve.
